My Lips Are Smitten With new Marc Jacobs appeal Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer

The Marc Jacobs appeal Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquers from the top in love Drunk, Moonglow and Uproar ($28 each)
If the Marc Jacobs appeal Hi-Shine Enamored Lip Lacquers were a dude, I wouldn’t say that I’m “ready to put a ring on it,” because we’ve only been together about a week, but I would say that I am enamored enough with them to make out on the doorstep — with tongue action.

I might even let them get hold of a boob or a butt cheek, as long as the neighbors don’t see.

In other words, this new line of lip glosses is pretty charming. It’s…

Shiny

Comfortable

Non-sticky

Minty

Moisturizing

And all-around fab!

A new line of glosses in the Marc Jacobs appeal permanent collection, the Enamored Lip Lacquers have a sensationally shiny finish that’s meant to make lips look like they’re wearing “30 coats of lacquer.”

First of all, duuuude! — that would be a lot of lacquer. how do they even quantify that…?

Second of all, whatever! I like the finish. It’s so bright that your cat will even be able to see his/her reflection in it.

As for how these feel on my lips, one word: ooh! instead of seducing you with flowers and candy (I could really choose a milk chocolate buttercream…), they hook you with their formula, which is like Lululemon spandex pants in gloss form. It’s clingy, but not sticky, and it hugs the curves of my lips sans patchiness.

I also like the light mint flavor and scent (it reminds me of gum), both of which fade after about a minute.

I’ve tried three of the 18 Enamored Hi-Shine shades — creamy nude Moonglow, shimmery rose gold love Drunk and shimmery melon Uproar — and even Moonglow, the one I expected to be the trickiest, applies perfectly. All three are incredibly smooth, moisturizing and surprisingly long-wearing for non-sticky glosses (I get about four hours).

The three colors here start out moderately intense but become increasingly sheer as they mellow out over time.

And then there’s the packaging. The flocked applicator makes it easy to maneuver around the edges and in the corners of my lips, which also adds “YAAAS!” points. The tube also looks fancy, which in turn makes me feel less like a schlub.

I think you’ll really like these if you’re on team Non-Sticky Lip Gloss. I’m already devising a plan to get my mommy and my pals hooked, mwhahaha! I think I’ll get my mommy one of the nudes, considering that there are a lot of them, or maybe one of the brights…

Decisions, decisions!

Yeah, I really like these, and with the way things are going, you might soon see a wedding announcement in the paper about our elopement. LOL! tell Ryan Gosling not to be jealous, will you? If you could pass that along, that would be great. You’re a true friend!
